What would I do if I were a seller to get the best price for my property?

Firstly, I would sell the dream. Sell the dream to my real estate agent that I am committed and serious about getting a sale. Let’s face it, most real estate agents would not take the extra mile such as making extra phone calls to get more buyers through if they found out you are just testing the market.

The exception, of course, is if they are the best in the field. With all due respect, I listen to my seller’s instructions, but I do not let them affect my strategies when it comes to getting them the best outcome. I am not asking you as a seller to sound desperate that you are giving your house away but instead, to sell the dream. Sell the dream to your agent that you are committed and serious about getting a sale. How you sell to your agent will likely be reflected in how they sell your home to your future buyer.

Ask yourself this, do you want your agent to sound beat up and half given up when buyers enquire about your property? Or do you want them to be upbeat and go the extra mile because they know their hard work will likely eventuate into a tangible outcome?
