Why I think it’s important to give back to the community

I have always been very adamant that giving back to the community is important and it is a shame there aren’t as many real estate agents doing this. The reason is that I know first-hand how hard it is to get your foot through the door and succeed.

I remember vividly how tough it was when I first started real estate. The business owner at the time thankfully saw the potential I had and gave me a loan to support my real estate business. Thanks to his investment, I was not only able to pay back the loan but also increase in business back to the agency.

There are so many talented young individuals in East Auckland without the means or opportunity to reach their full potential and I hope to be that chance that they need to get their foot through the door to success. Yes, hard work is important but ultimately, the costs do add up for training, equipment etc.  This mindset is why I sponsor Matthew Mccutcheon Motorsport and Interfusion Dance Studio in Howick.

It is also why I often advocate supporting local businesses to highlight what a great neighbourhood it is. After all, how can one sell properties if they do not truly believe what a great location their listings are in?

My latest community event (coming up on 29th October 2022) is another way of highlighting the great neighbourhood. Held at Howick Domain in proximity to the Howick Farmers Markets, you will see why the locals love the area. My team and I would not be here without our great clients and sponsoring local community BBQs are our way of giving back.
